The Need for Adventure

The need for adventure is always on my mind. Its a constant pull-not loud but steady- calling me towards the unknown, the open sea, the winding trail, the perfect light. As a landscape photographer and someone deeply connected to the sea, adventure isn’t just something I chase, it’s something I live for.

From a very young age I developed a connection with the sea and nature, My Dad always had boats, and every summer, a few days after the last day of school, my Mum, Dad, and three older brothers, would embark on an adventure, hopping on board and setting off on one of his wild adventures, many times for weeks at a time.

Those moments shaped me, they made me an able sea-goer, a quick decision maker and later on owning boats of my own, mainly rhibs.

When summer was over and the boats were safely tucked away in a boat yard, I needed another oulet, landscape photography became the next natural step in how I explore and connect with the world around me. Being outdoors with a camera gives me freedom and keeps me in tune with the seasons, the weather and those beautiful in-between moments.

Through landscape photography, I have travelled to many amazing places, and have met many wonderful like minded people, there is an energy that comes from sharing the same passion, learning from others and also teaching others, sharing the knowledge that I have picked up along the way is extreemly satisfying.
